Preparation Tips To Score High in Class 12 Board Exams

All students put in their best effort to perform well in the Class 12 board exams. But, only a few of them are able to make it. The solution is very simple; to score high marks, students need to have a proper preparation strategy apart from studying hard, grasping the concepts and retaining everything. Below, we have tried to collate useful preparation tips to perform well in the board exams. Students must go through them and follow them while studying.

1) Stick to the Syllabus

Students must study as per the syllabus. They must strictly follow the CBSE Syllabus for Class 12 and cover only those topics which are mentioned therein. Random studying anything out of the syllabus will waste their precious time and give no fruitful results. So, students are advised to keep the syllabus in front of them while studying. It would be better to paste a copy of the syllabus in the study area or study room.

2) Follow a Proper Study Schedule

Students must create a study plan that suits them best. Everyday, they should devote at least 2 hours for self-study, apart from school and homework time. The study schedule will help them cover all the subjects, so they study everything. Thus they pay attention to each and every subject without ignoring anything. They will prepare for all subjects thoroughly. Thus, their chances of performing well in all subjects will increase.

3) Learn Time Management

Once students have covered the entire syllabus, then they should focus on time management. During exams, time plays an important role. Students are allocated a fixed time duration to finish the entire paper. Many a time, students cannot answer the questions due to time limitations in the board exams. Thus, it is crucial that they start working on time management as early as possible, so as to finish the paper on time.

4) Practice Model Paper and Mock Test

Model papers and mock tests are the best resources with which students can learn time management. Apart from this, they also get to know the exam pattern and question paper format. They get a good idea of marks distribution, the number of questions asked under each section, the difficulty levels of questions etc. Knowing all this helps them prepare a better exam strategy and also boost their exam preparation.

5) Know Your Weaknesses

By practising different mock tests, sample papers and previous year papers, students get to know their weak and strong points. They will understand which subjects they are weak in ,and which subjects they are strong. Knowing them, they can work on those subjects and topics to improve their performance. Doing so also boosts their confidence levels for the board exams.

We wish all the best for students in their exam preparation!
